A very modern cat
The Toybob is a rare miniature cat breed that originated in Russia in the 1980s. It began when breeder Elena Krasnichenko discovered naturally small cats with Siamese-like features and bobbed tails. In 1988, she bred two of these cats, producing a kitten named Kutciy, considered the foundation of the breed.
The name “Toybob” was adopted in the 1990s to unify different breeding lines. In 2016, the World Cat Federation officially recognized the Toybob, and the Cat Fanciers’ Association followed in 2019.
The smallest cat breed
Toybobs are delightfully small cats with a forever-kitten look and a unique short, curled tail. Their adult weight is between 1.5 and 3.2kg, while the average cat weights between 4 and 5 kg. That means they weight about half the weight of a normal cat. Originally from Russia, Toybobs are known for their loyalty and gentle, affectionate and playful temperament. Each one of our Toybobs is raised with love and care, ready to bring joy and companionship to their new families.

Carefully selected over generations, our breeding lines produce eye colors that are truly extraordinary: aquamarine blues, emerald greens, bright golds. Their elegant tail
Toybobs are known for their distinctive short or medium tails, a natural and defining feature of the breed. They are one of the only cats born with this unique tail shape, which is gently curved or softly kinked, adding a subtle elegance that complements their compact build. This rare trait enhances the Toybob’s overall harmony and charm, making them truly stand out.
